The Shape of Ideas: The Book!
My first book, The Shape of Ideas: An Illustrated Exploration of Creativity, was just published by Abrams ComicArts. (You've probably heard me shouting with enthusiasm about it on social media.) It's been a wonderful experience, and the book turned out better than I could have imagined. A big thanks goes to my editor, Charlie Kochman - his vision and creative insight gave The Shape of Ideas its unique form, thoughtful sequence, and high production values. Thank you to my agent, Judy Hansen, who has been a tireless advocate for my work. And thank you, dear readers, for following, sharing, and supporting Incidental Comics!
If you've already read and enjoyed the book, you can help spread the word. Review it online, tell your local bookstore staff, or share it with your classroom or book group. It's a perfect gift for creative people ages eight through eighty. If you have yet to read it, I highly recommend getting a copy!
Last week I got to visit Book Expo in NYC to meet the team at Abrams Books who made The Shape of Ideas a reality. Here's me (and SpongeBob) alongside my book:
I'll be doing a mini-book tour in the Denver area this week and some library and conference appearances this summer. Stay tuned to grantsnider.com for my event schedule, interviews, and reviews of The Shape of Ideas.
