Understanding Poetry

Happy National Poetry Month! This comic was inspired by one of my favorite poems, "The New Poetry Handbook" by Mark Strand. This month on Incidental Comics, I'll be exploring the world of poetry. A place, as Marianne Moore famously said, of  "imaginary gardens with real toads in them."

    That is beautiful!
    For the longest time I thought that poetry wasn't for me. However, I find myself, more and more drawn to it… and your blog just makes me all the more excited. I love the things you make and I hope you'll continue to make them for a very long time.
