The new building, for non-local readers, is the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. It's scheduled to open this September. If you're a fan of architect Moshe Safdie or the Kansas City skyline (or if you just like buildings with personality), you can order a print at http://www.flickr.com/photos/incidentalcomics.
Amazing. I'm a big fan of your work, but this one is exceptionally clever. "Let's topple on him. Okay, you first." was brilliant. Excellent personification.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty sweet looking building, I can't wait to go see a performance there.
ReplyDeleteThe way you give buildings a voice and a personality is very interesting. I also noticed most have a certain air to them, even in real life.
ReplyDeleteWaayy too awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog, and I absolutely love your work. Each comic is brilliant and beautiful in its own way.
ReplyDeleteI too am a fan of your work. I always make sure to look at the Preview section, mainly for your piece each week. Last week and this week's work were particularly amusing and beautifully drawn.
ReplyDelete"He almost look... Postmodern!" XD
ReplyDeleteThanks again for your great work.
Great work. I like it.. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteEveryone: Thanks for all the encouraging words! This one was fun to draw, since I actually ventured out into the city for my rough sketches and photo reference.
ReplyDeleteI love comics, I love puns. I love this comic! <3
ReplyDelete"The old buildings are too set in their foundations." Just right. More good stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt is very nice post for architects fans.
